Shalini Niketan is an organisation which operates on the belief that every individual is entitled to dignity, opportunity and respect regardless of gender, caste, background and identity. These encapsulate our values of inclusivity, compassion, justice and equality.  Our programs are based on 3 pillars (education/skills training, shelter and health) of empowerment. We aim to  provide a safe and inclusive space where women, marginalised communities including sexual minorities such as the transgender community feel safe and included. Our values stemming from Sanatana Dharma emphasise that every living soul, beyond material labels, is worthy of respect,  deserves a nurturing environment to grow and to feel empowered. That humanity is part of a common spiritual family and unconditional love, selfless service and pursuit of our higher purpose is something we should aspire to.
